            <description><![CDATA[If you roses are not performing up to your expectations and/or foliage doesn't appear to be a good healthy green color, a good place to start is checking soil PH.  Take soil sample to your local Extension Service and they will test it for you.

The optimal PH range for roses is 6.0-6.5.  If your soil PH strays very far from this range you roses will not be able to use available nutrients in your soil.  To increase PH add hydrated limestone.  To decrease PH add sulfur or  aluminium sulphate.  ]]></description>
